Call for Papers｜The 4th Symposium on Country-Specific Translation and Interpretation Capacity & 1st Forum on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Translation and Interpretation Capacity

为积极响应新时代国家对于翻译能力建设的迫切需求，北京外国语大学国家翻译能力研究中心至今已连续举办了三届“国家翻译能力：理论建构与学术探索”研讨会系列研讨会不仅汇聚了国家翻译能力研究共同体，发布了全球国家翻译能力指数，产出了一系列前瞻性的理论观点，还达成了广泛共识，即国家翻译能力研究需要逐步从理论构建和框架体系验证，拓展至更具实践价值的区域乃至国别比较研究，力求以高质量的研究成果精准、有效地服务于发展大局。

粤港澳大湾区作为国家战略的核心区域，在语言服务方面一直处于国内领先地位其翻译能力建设不仅关乎区域自身的一体化进程和国际交流合作，更承载着服务国家整体发展战略的重要使命因此，大湾区的翻译能力建设需与国家整体翻译能力建设同频共振，共同为实现我国国际传播战略和宏远发展目标贡献力量。

基于以上背景，北京外国语大学携手澳门教育及青年发展局、澳门中西创新学院、澳门翻译员联合会，拟于2024年9月21—22日在澳门共同举办第四届国家翻译能力学术研讨会暨首届粤港澳大湾区翻译能力研究论坛本次研讨会和论坛将秉持开放、包容、创新的国家翻译能力研究理念，为国内外翻译学界的专家学者提供一个高水平的学术交流平台，通过碰撞思想、激荡智慧，共同推动国别和区域翻译能力研究取得新突破，为国家特别是粤港澳大湾区的发展贡献翻译界的智慧和力量。

本次会议将结合专家主旨报告与分论坛研讨，聚焦国家翻译能力建设、国别/区域翻译能力比较、AIGC与国家/区域翻译能力建设、粤港澳大湾区翻译能力建设现状与挑战等重要议题，并发布2023年全球国家翻译能力指数和中国大学翻译能力指数。

诚邀相关领域的专家学者围绕会议主题提交论文摘要，分享前沿研究与实践经验，共襄学术盛举We are pleased to announce the upcoming 4th Symposium on Country-Specific Translation and Interpretation Capacity & 1st Forum on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Translation and Interpretation Capacity

, which will be held on 21-22 September, 2024 in Macao, China. This conference builds on the legacy of successful gatherings organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) over the past three years, continuing the commitment to advancing translation and interpretation (T&I) research.

The focus of this year’s event will be on fostering innovation and practical applications of T&I capacity research. Participants will engage with critical topics such as capacity building, comparative studies, and the integration of AIGC technologies. The conference will also feature the release of the 2023 World Country-Specific Translation and Interpretation Capacity Index as well as the Chinese University Translation and Interpretation Capacity Index.

We cordially invite experts and researchers from related fields to contribute to this important dialogue by submitting abstracts that address the themes of the conference. Your insights will enrich the discussions and contribute to the shaping of T&I studies in the context of China and beyond.

3摘要要求 Specifications◾️300字内中文或英文完整摘要，用于匿名评审◾️作者信息（包括姓名、职称、学历、工作单位、电子邮箱、手机号）◾️同一作者不得以第一作者身份多次投稿We kindly request the submission of a full abstract, not exceeding 300 words, in either Chinese or English for anonymous review. The abstract should be accompanied by the author’s bio information, including name, professional title, education background, current affiliation, email address, and mobile phone number.

Also, please note: an individual may not serve as the first author for more than one abstract. Registration will only be considered confirmed upon receipt of an email from the organizing committee.

Registration Fee: 1200 RMB or 160 USD per person; 600 RMB or 80 USD for each postgraduate student (excluding staff postgraduate students)

Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meals. Hotel recommendations will be provided by the organizing committee.
